Overall, this unit is a great aerial laundry line. Highly recommended. Just ensure the unit fits the area you desire. Take into account the unit is long and the string to raise/lower the laundry drapes down only four feet. I mounted my unit outdoors under the eaves which also cover my laundry area. Included with the unit are 4 large threaded wood screws and drywall anchors which correspondingly would be installed though the four chassis mounting points (aka holes) to your ceiling or eaves. In my case, none of the holes lined up to the roofing headers and I drilled eight new holes through the chassis and mounted the unit accordingly. Both arms of the laundry line open up like a butterfly and must be done manually, one arm at a time. The string, which drapes down about four feet, is only for raising/lowering the laundry line. This makes it possible to lower the laundry line, open the two arms, hang your laundry, and raise the line to its maximum above the floor. Note, the unit, when fully at rest position, does not 'nest' into the chassis as this area holds the pulley rod, strings, and laundry support arms. As a suggestion, it would be VERY helpful for the manufacturer (Juwel) or distributor (Exaco) to improve the instructions and provide more instructive pictures.
