Product Description The Cardinal Gates Stairway Special Baby Gate (Model SS30) is designed for maximum safety. This gate is great for all areas, and ideal for the top of the stairs. This hardware-mounted baby gate features a latch system that baffles toddlers yet allows one-handed operation for adults. The included optional one-way stop bracket prevents the gate from opening over a stairway, providing higher safety and more peace of mind. The latch system on the Stairway Special allows for the gate to have the ability to mount at angles up to 30 degrees, allowing installation in unique areas and for mounting to offset studs in drywall. At 29.5" tall, this gate is adjustable and able to close off openings from 27" to 42.5" out of the box, with optional 10.5” and 21.75" extensions (Models BX-1 and BX-2, sold separately) to increase the span up to a maximum of 64.25". This gate is constructed of high quality aluminum, which is light weight and virtually rustproof, with no plastic pieces to break or wear out. The powder-coated finish provides a long lasting, easy-to-clean. All necessary hardware for basic installation is included in the box. If you're using this gate outdoors, we recommend the purchasing a stainless steel hardware pack (sold separately).
