Fairly major job to access the switch but corrected the difficult or no shifting issue as well as the no start (no starter activation without bypass of the secondary starter relay) on a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro. Multiple videos on You Tube but requires access through the left front wheel well and disconnect of exhaust, rear driveshaft, +/- left front axle and dropping the rear of the engine/transmission ~4-6" to access the unit which is hidden behind the transmission support bracket.
