People are blown away when they use my guest bathroom and see a hand drier insted of a towel pile. I chose this one because I wanted a quieter unit. It takes a few extra seconds to dry the hands, but these seconds are well worth not having to wash hand towels every day. It is certainly quieter than the hand driers in department stores and offices. We ended up hardwiring it for safety reasons because we thought our outlet was too near the sink. It works fine as a plug-in unit though.
