Awesome blue view of the arc. I was really impressed with the Jackson Tigster I got so when I wanted to get another helmet for teaching my kids TIG I turned to Jackson Safety again. This Serpent WH70 is noticeably even better than that. We have top of the line Miller & 3M helmets at work & I'd take this over them without fail. I'm an aerospace machinist by trade but have come up to speed in both GTAW & Arc welding pretty darn fast, due in large part to Jackson's amazingly clear view of the weld puddle. First thing when I took this out of the box, I fired up on extremely thin sheet metal (under 5 amp) and it welded perfectly...never studered or did any other unwanted tricks cheaper helmets do. Crystal clear view of puddle, seam & all around the weld area. I know when we upgrade at work again I'm going to push hard to get a few of these. Till then, if I'm welding I'm going to be using this one. If your looking for a new helmet, I think you will be blown away at the clarity & low amp performance. If you're doing arc and won't be doing qny low amp stuff then just about any helmet would do. Of course any welding will be easier with the extreme clarity you'll get from this awesome ADF. I hope this helps you out & good welding my friends & thx so much Jackson Safety for a phenomenal product at a very fair price!!!!
