A year ago I bought a 2" Medium latex topper from a different brand called Pure Green. Great product, but I wish I would have bought the soft instead of the medium version. It now sits in my closet.Fast forward... I love the feel of my mattress and the firmness of it, however it still sleeps too hot. I decided to try buying a 1" Latex Topper so that I don't change the feel or firmness of my mattress too much while making it more breathable. I noticed this new Wellatex brand and was weary at first but it seemed to be the same quality. The price was very good and it is all natural latex sourced from trees, not the synthetic junk. When I received the topper, I noticed how soft it is. unlike the Pure Green brand, when you rub your hand against either side it almost feels like fabric it is soo soft. I love it! And praising God, it makes my bed sleep cool and feels very luxury to sleep on! Not exaggerating, I am the type of person that is always sweating even when it is cool. I weigh about 135, therefore the soft really fits me well and the latex is great at temperature regulation. With the previous medium topper I didn't sink into it enough and there was too much pushback against my head and shoulders. If you weigh more than say 160lbs then a Medium Firmness may feel comfortable and supportive for you, but if you are skinny then get the soft. Remember latex is naturally a supportive foam, so a soft latex is still slightly more firm than memory foam. Even so latex is still pressure relieving while also offering great support for back sleepers.If you are trying to correct a sagging mattress or firm up a bed a bit, then get a 2" medium firmness latex topper. If you are wanting to keep the bed the same firmness but just add a little springiness, get a 1" soft latex topper. If you are trying to soften a hard mattress, then get a 2" or 3" soft latex topper. Unlike memory foam, natural latex sleeps cooler, it also offers more support. It does also offer pressure relief like memory foam but is more refreshing in that it gentle pushes back at you and is more springy.If you are looking for the closest thing to a Memory Foam feel, then get the SOFT latex topper, do not get medium or hard. If you like the feel of memory foam, but it sleeps to hot for you, you can also put a 1" layer of soft latex on top of a memory foam topper and that works very well. If you are heavier, then get the 2" medium latex topper.I suffer with both fibromyalgia and sciatica nerve pain. I have a Tempurpedic Breeze mattress . I love it but was feeling too hard. So I knew a topper would help. I wasn’t sure what type to buy gel or latex. So I did my research and found latex is better for sciatica nerve pain. It has 7 point relief system. So I bought this brand. There were no recommendations so I am the first. Please don’t waste your money on this product.This is the first latex foam topper I have used and it is definitely very different from memory foam or gel memory foam. This latex foam has a springy quality to it that memory foam does not have but at 1” thick it’s not going to transform your hard mattress into a soft one. It does add a teeny bit of cushion that was helpful on my slightly too firm old memory foam mattress.This topper is slightly oversized, it hangs just a bit over the edges of my mattress but it’s easy enough to cut it down to size. I definitely recommend using a protective sheet over this and under your bed sheets as your skin’s natural oils will cause the latex foam to break down over time.I work in makeup fx and honestly this material is surprisingly similar to the type of foam latex used in appliances, its just thicker and more dense.This topper does tend to slide around on my mattress though which can get pretty annoying.I ordered this Wellatex 7 zone,3 inch premium Tallalay natural latex foam mattress topper in a twin size for our son.
