Great price and is exactly what we needed. Definitely recommendFirst of all, these DO NOT run small. They are 4.75 with a lot of clearance. They are a bit taller than a Phyllis Iron. It is a light weight, wide tread stirrup with no angle. They will require stirrup covers to keep from damaging a saddle when put up. There is no noise when riding; however if your foot pushes against the outer bar there is a clicking sound as the magnetic mechanism parts and reconnects. ( I can only assume that is what happened to the last reviewer who said it kept opening- the outside of their foot was pressing on the mechanism as the same thing happened to me once during a lesson.) These are amazing safety stirrups for an experienced rider that doesn’t want to look like they are using safety stirrups; being half the price of Acavallo or Tech doesn’t hurt either. Totally Worth It!!!Like others have said, the squeak very loudly when I'm riding. It's loud enough that other riders stop and ask, "what's that sound?" It makes keeping that pretty much impossible, it's just too annoying and disruptive. Otherwise, they seem very sturdy. I like the grade to the foot pad, it helps keep my heels down and the safety mechanism works great.I want to love these and give them a 5 star review. Unfortunately these squeak every time I post. It’s loud and is extremely distracting to everyone else around us.For years I've used Kwik-Out safety stirrups, but I wanted to find some lighter weight stirrups and I am very happy with my purchase. At first they took some getting used to because the tred is wider than what I was accustomed to, but now I love the feel of extra stability and wouldn't want to go back to regular stirrups.Was so excited to get these for Christmas, so disappointed in the quality. These are ridiculously heavy, and the foot bed runs SMALL. The mechanism kept opening while posting and cantering and made a horrible squeaking noise while riding the other gaits. Save your money and go with a better stirrup.
