I purchased the Marantz PMD-901V after returning a much cheaper body camera. I have used this camera a number of times, and am impressed with it's easy to comprehend buttons and settings. I say "easy" for two reasons:1) buttons and settings are identified with logos and spelled out words2) the user would only need to take the time to read and/or recognize symbolsYes, mine froze up ONCE. But a review of the guide revealed there is an accessible "reset" button located under a small dust flap on the side. It has NOT locked-up nor froze since that one time.- Audio recording on this unit sound is warm, lifelike, and more accurate compared to the tinny/echoed recordings of competitors products or other decent camcorders.- Single button operation for video, photo, or audio.- Active recording from the preset video queue is an added convenience.- Password-protected access to the unit is a bonus, as is the internal 32 GB memory.- Video appears crisp, focused, and clear
