Thorogood Men's ASR Series Tactical Boots - Mid-Cut Non-Safety Toe Work Boots for Hiking, Construction & Outdoor Adventures

I have worn Thorogood work boots for a long time- always the moc toe crepe sole style. Those served me for years and can be resoled. In fact I send them back to the company and they refurbish them. So when I needed a black more tacticle type work boot I looked at 5.10 and Morrell and UA boots but at first didnt see these...luckily while reading reviews of the Moab 2 that I was seriously considering- I saw these! I have worn them now for around 3 plus weeks. These are great boots! Light, super comfortable from the moment you put them on. Climbing, moving, lifting- I feel secure in these. Leather uppers and all stitching was perfect. If you ever had boots that felt good to take off- these are not those. Of note is that I am recovering from mild planter fasciitis and these DONT hurt to wear just as they arrived. I have not had to change the insoles. I have already put these through mud and rain, 10 hour days and can say without reservation that these have been great boots! Two items of note- they have to be really loosened up at top to remove them and I wish they were American made.
