I've had a number of pairs of Docs over the years, and have always loved them. I was getting sick of spending upwards of $60 for a pair of work shoes and having them become almost intolerably uncomfortable within a couple months' time, so I started looking for other options. This line must be relatively new in the Docs lineup, and when I saw the price, I decided to take the plunge (~$37 for a pair of Docs in my size??) I was a little unsure about the lack of arch support, but the toe and heel beds are nicely padded, and that padding hasn't even started to go flat yet. The soles are truly non-slip (I'm a line cook, and those industrial tiles get slick when they're wet) and the whole shoe rinses clean easily. My feet do get a bit warm in them, but no worse than a lot of the other work shoes I've had. I'm usually on my feet for 9+ hours at a time, and my feet (and knees, and back) aren't screaming at me at the end of my shifts. Far more than I was expecting, for the price, and a purchase I'll happily make again when this pair wears out. I wear a 10 in women's shoes and an 8 in men's, and the size 8 model is a good fit.The shoes are made very well. They seem like they will last a while considering I work in an automotive shop which does a number on shoes/boots.Very good ventilation. The only thing is they are taking a while to break in.Most of my new work shoes take a while to get comfortable but these are taking longer than usual. But if they last longer than other work shoes I’ve had than it’s worth it in the long run. There is a semihard ridge of material that goes across the insole and cuts right into the center of the ball of my foot. I have no idea what that is supposed to be. I hope it compresses down with time. But I dont know how Im supposed to wear them long enough for that to happen. I'll change my rating if it works out that wayLike the comfort, I can wear them all day and forget I have them on. I am the exception, I most always have shoes be on. So if you like going barefoot you will know you have shoes on, but they are very comfortable.Slippery on the restaurants kitchenProbably the most comfortable sneaker/work boot type shoe I've ever worn. Took a little wearing in. The arch was a bit uncomfortable at first for my sensitive feet but was easily removable to be customized or replaced.I love these shoes. They look cool and are really comfortable. They did take a few weeks to break in as most Doc's do. They fit great which is unusual as I have wide ass flat Hobbit feetSize is slightly large, but still comfortable and allowed me to use inserts easily. I get complements in a place where safety footwear is required. Highly recommended.
