I was a bit surprised when I first opened the package. I was expecting an ice bucket sized bucket, maybe a cubic foot or thereabouts. This one is smaller, about 13 inches tall to the top of the peaked lid and maybe seven inches across. The lid can be threaded on.Another surprise was that the ice bucket is double walled and halfway filled with a viscous liquid. The box days to freeze it upside down, then use to chill a bottle of wine (just big enough around, but the lid has to stay off with a wine bottle) or keep other items such as strawberries cool.It's smaller than I expected but I think it will work well as an ice bucket when entertaining. The insulated walls and the liquid in between will keep the ice from melting too fast, and it will hold enough ice to cool a few adult beverages before needing refilled.
