Hair Test Interpretation: Finding Hidden Toxicities is a practical book. The book starts out telling you how to interpret a hair test for mercury and other heavy metals. It provides a step by step discussion of this with figures to make this easy to do. It gives examples using actual hair test results from real people. Mercury interferes with how the hair element results come out ? mercury is often low and other minerals take unusual values. It is crucial for proper hair test interpretation to know how to recognize mercury s characteristic signature. Mercury often causes retention of certain minerals. Arsenic, antimony, tin, titanium, zirconium and aluminum are elements many people retain too much of when they really have a mercury problem. Hair tests are worth doing because a surprising number of people diagnosed with incurable chronic health conditions actually turn out to have a heavy metal problem. Heavy metal problems are easy to correct. Hair testing allows the underlying problem to be identified and the chronic health condition often disappears with proper detoxification.
Remark: As also mentioned by a book reviewer back in 2011, the book is just a stack of A4 scans stapled together on the edge; but in any case with a cover which as normally on the book spine carries the names.During at least 50 years, probably since when in school learning chemistry, I have known about Hair Test. And during the 12 years here in Thailand I to my Thai wife have tried to explain this measure method, when she starts talking about headache, skin, heat and other problems, as I among other explain the Heavy Metal problems. This because of her use of hair color, skin crème, and so on, and without speculating about what they contains, and if the bottles carry information telling this, then common people, and even the doctors, know nothing about what it is and what it matters! But it never was my intention to buy a Hair Test book, as my wife don’t understand my explanations and advises, and I put my doubt in that the doctors here in Chiang Mai knows anything at all about Hair Tests, and thereby if a test at all can be made. But by an accident I by Amazon few weeks ago fall on this book about Hair Test, written by Andrew Hall Cutlers, and then read about it, and the next day had to order a copy of the book which really looked as containing much good science knowledge for me to show in the hospitals.I thought that it would be a dry science book in which I not would be reading much but only use it as a lexicon. Because when I in Amazon was searching inside the book I did not see any of the big Hair Elements Profile Test reports of which we only on the books front side are seeing a small copy, or personal cases. But then when receiving the book, and looking inside it, and among other discovering many of these Hair Elements, in A4 size, I immediately started to read all of the book. But first of all, at least to me, the book especially is highly interesting due to its content of the many personal cases, by which we learn about problems as the results of many combinations both separately concerning Toxic Elements and separately concerning the Essential and Other Elements, but also between parts from the two groups. As we know it is bad getting Heavy Metals into the body, the biggest chance is being hit by Mercury, but here we also see cases where wrong combination of Toxic Elements can be bad, even though each of these Elements doesn’t cross the maximum allowed. Among other this caused by that in reality all persons are different, so therefore even though lower than the maximum allowed by the state, can be bad for some persons, while many times more than the maximum doesn’t matter for other. The first case I jumped to, after seeing it mentioned in the Introduction, starts on the side 40 and tells us about a 6 year old Autistic boy who never had been able to say a single word. We get the Counting rules #1 to #5, and are told to note the relative elevation of Sodium (8 * max allowed) and Potassium (5½ * max) compared to the elevation of Calcium (½ * max) and Magnesium (7/10 * max), which suggests that his Adrenals may be slightly under performing. And the Mercury shows < 0.03, with the Reference Range being < 0.4, as the Hair mostly shows low Mercury when much is in the Body. And his autistic problem must have been caused by vaccinations, which until 2003 - 4 was containing Mercury, in the variant of Thimerosal. The boy was then Detoxified (getting the heavy metals out) by the use of DMSA (Dimercaptosucnic Acid, a water soluble non Toxic substance) and Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), every 3 hours from Friday 15 o’clock to Monday 6 o’clock, 61 weekends. And then at the age of 8 he then was talking normally, normal expressive for his age, singing with the other in school and so on.But actually the book starts by first explaining why and how we use the Hair Tests and in the chapter “How Mineral Transport Works”, which starts on the side 8, we by comparing measured results for the contents of 12 Minerals of various body substances, by mcg/g (microgram/gram). Thereby see how different small or big the results actual are for the 12 Minerals in this case when using the 6 there shown measuring methods. For example in the actual case, and looking at the Blood, Urine, and Hair results concerning the Potassium (K), we there got:by Blood measure it shows 79.0, by Urine it shows 1,600, and by the Hair it shows 40 mcg/g.And for the Zinc (Zn):the Blood measure shows 11.0, while the Urine shows 0.33, and the Hair shows 160 mcg/g.Quite opposite results by the 3 methods, and thereby telling us, and the doctors, how important it can be not always only using the Blood or Urine tests. At some of the cases in the book we besides the Hair Elements Profile test reports also are having a Blood or Urine measure test. The book is well written and easy to understand by anybody, even if for example not recognizing what is meant by the Percentile numbers 68th and 95th as the borders for the horizontal lines, the bars, of the Potentially Toxic Elements. As seen on the micro copy of a Hair Elements on the books front side; mostly for making the bars shorter and easier to have on the same paper. Even if not understanding why these two, the 68th and 95th, the test results are easy to understand, because left to the bars we also get the weight results, in µg/g, next to the allowable Reference Range, and then we in the text reads the conclusions, and what then were done, or can be done. But actually the 68th and the 95th is caused by statistically looking at the amount measured in the Hair, which is explained in the chapter “Appendix: Statistical Tables and Calculations”, starting on the side 262. This is basically the Gauss probability, which for many persons not is easy to understand, but it doesn’t matter to read this chapter about Statistics/Probability for understanding the contents of the book.Concerning these Hair Elements I in the book found ration measures which I never before have seen. On the micro copy on the front side of the book, on the bottom to the right, we see written Ratios, and that is the Expected Range concerning 5 groups of the Essential and Other Elements. As the first one we there have the balance between Calcium and Magnesium, and respectively we for this case reads: Elements: Ca/Mg, Ratio: 6.68, Expected Range: 4 – 30. And the other are for Ca/P, Na/K, Zn/Cu, and Zn/Cd, which we all are getting small amounts of in the daily foods and vitamin pills. Normally we only read about a balance between the Calcium and Magnesium, when buying Calcium or taking pills, but here we also read about balances between other Essential and Other Elements. In the chapter “Interpreting a Doctor’s Data or Great Plains Hair Element Profile”, starting on the side 16, we learn by using the Essential and Other Elements result bars on the Hair Element Profile test report to calculate an advising result and which then to use in connection with the Potentially Toxic Elements results. This is done by following the Counting rules #1 - #4 when in 4 different ways looking at the end positions of bars for the Essential and Other Elements. And then as the result of big or small result numbers for each of these we also get a Counting rule #5. And then now we statistically for example know when looking at Potentially Toxic Elements bar, or µg/g, if some of the Toxic elements may be significant, even if less than the maximum allowed. And then concerning this looking at the Toxic Elements we back in the book starting on the side 235, by the chapter “What to do about Heavy Metals and other Hair Test Results”, gets 28 sides about the Heavy Metals, Major Minerals, and Trace Minerals. There we read how each of their actual Hair Test measured result can be telling how other Toxics, Minerals, Drugs, have resulted in reactions, and so on for each of these. And thereby in connection whit the Counting rules #1 - #5 can state how the problem best can be treated. But we don’t need to read these side, we get plenty of learning by just reading the many cases. In a case we read about a sixteen year old boy, who was happy, friendly, athletic, enjoyed sports, and school home works not always easy but he managed by himself. But then one day he started to complain to his parents that the kids in the school were talking about him. And later he locked doors telling that people were trying to brake in to get him, and besides that the people on TV were talking to him. By doctors he was diagnosed as having manic depression, and he was put on 2 bad drugs, and thereby gained weight, heavy breathing, and acted like a zombie. The parents started reading about the problem and then convinced the doctors that he instead should be treated more as a schizophrenic rather than a bipolar patient. So this was done and it was changed to another dug instead. He still went to school but couldn’t do much, and the doctors and his new psychiatrist said that so it would be for the rest of his life. But by after own research the parents had a Hair Test done as they were speculating about Heavy Metals. The result showed the Mercury to be 0.56 µg/g where it shall be < 0.4, and Uranium to be 0.53, where it shall be < 0.04, and we see the Counting rules 1# - 4#, and read what these two Toxic elements can result in. The father then immediately was convinced that his son needed the Chelation (cleaning the body), but doctor after doctor told them that this was dangerous. But at last they found at doctor who prescribed DMSA, and then after 23 Chelation rounds (weekends), the school a day called back and told that now their son suddenly again was talking to people. And then by the end of the season he was nearly back in being quite normal. But the boy’s psychiatrist insisted that the Chelation only is a bad thing that had done nothing, so the boy must have had another psychical sickness than what they first concluded, and then that the boy just have got better by his own! But quite opposite to this, by the first lines from the fathers experience as the result of this case, we learn this: “This whole situation with my son really opened my eyes. These mainstream doctors will talk against Chelation like they are experts. But, I will sit and talk the facts with them. They will then tell me that they really do not know much about it”.On the page 193 we read a case about a gentleman among other having anxiety, hopeless depression, short term memory, difficulty concentrating, and low energy. By the Hair Test it shows up that his biggest problem was the Selenium, which we have in the Essential and Other Elements, of which he by his shampoo had received it as Selenium Sulfide, and the result shows 12 µg/g while having the Reference Range as 0.95 – 1,7. Rather parallel to what I have tried to explain to my wife and doctors,As we nowadays often in the news reads about famous persons being hit by Parkinson’s disease it is interesting in the book, a couple of times, to read about wrong Parkinson’s diagnosing, and then the problem solved after a Hair Test. On the side 34 we starts reading about a 51 year gentleman, who as a 8 year boy was playing with Mercury from a bottle (we did the same in my school), and in his 20’s got Amalgam filling in 4 Teeth. He developed Arthritis and Psychical problems, got Drugs and stating as suffering from Parkinson’s because of forgetfulness, clumsiness, a short temper, cramped and illegible writing and more. The person was familiar with what could follow from Mercury, and had made a Hair Test, which showed 3.5 for Mercury, opposite to allowed < 1.1, and thereby Mercury poisoned. After the Amalgam filling removed and 9 month of Chelation, and at the same time without the Parkinson’s Drugs, his balance improved, he became active, kayaking, running for exercising and remodeling his house.Together at different places in the book we have the 3 chapters “Sources of Exposures to Toxic Metals”, “Mercury Poisoning”, “Other Toxic Elements: Signs and Symptoms”, and “Meaning of Essential and Other Elements”, which totally covers 65 sides. Each of these being alphabetic lexica about Minerals and Toxics elements, but of course mostly about the bad Toxics which we each day are getting, mostly without our knowledge. Here I found much information which I don’t have in my many doctor and health books. Interestingly historically we on the side 73 read that Lead salts are sweet and that the Romans considered wine boiled in Lead cauldrons to be superior in taste. By this I recall that some historians talk about that the Roman Empire collapsed because of leaders got insane by getting Lead. After reading the book it to me has become clearer than before, that now a ’days nearly everybody ought to have Hair Tests, as daily we get Toxic Elements by many ways, and thereby more or less can be (are) hit by different problems. And it is a good book to show to the Orthodox thinking Doctors, and thereby showing them some of the solved cases.
