I've been riding for a lot of years and this is my favorite helmet so far. It is reasonably priced, cool, comfortable, has a washable lining, doesn't smell, and doesn't make me look like a mushroom head. Troxel's customer service is also great. I bought my first one of these about 3 years ago, and when I washed the FlipFold liner, the seam separated. Troxel promptly sent me a replacement. I just bought my second one to use as a show helmet because my first one has gotten a little dirty looking--not Troxel's fault, I wear it 3-5 times a week year round in all sorts of weather and conditions--and to have a back-up in case I ever fall and hit my head. As everyone should know, once a helmet has hit the ground you must replace it, most helmets (except for some pricey specialty ones) are only rated for one impact. As for fit, I have a small narrow head and this is a great helmet for that. The flip fold adjustment means that even if my head was more narrow, the helmet would still fit. I'm not sure if this would be the best helmet for someone with a very round or wide head, but there are lots of helmets out there for that. The other thing I like is that the retention system in the back does not go half-way down my neck like most of the adjustable helmets. This one has some play, and can be adjusted up and down a little, but it is the only one I've tried that doesn't give me a pain in the neck or headaches. The ventilation system also works well, even in the summer it is cooler than all but one other helmet I've had (the Troxel Sport, I think, which has a very open design). All in all, for $100 this helmet is a great all around buy!
