The sturdy plastic seat snaps-on easily and the all welded steel construction increases strength and stability. The cushioned armrests enhance user comfort and this model is capable of holding up to 300 pounds, assuming even distribution. Quality is the hallmark of all Lumex products. Trusted by healthcare professionals and end-users for over 50 years, Lumex features a full line of patient aids and specialty healthcare seating.

Perfect height but oval is way way too small for my husband.Great commode, value, and functionality. Iām 5ā1ā and the commode is slightly too tall for me. It hurts my legs for them to hang unsupported so I find creative fixes for that. I wish it would just go down enough to fit though. One other issue is that the seat can pinch your thighs. I put an old rag in that space to prevent this. Still a good value for money, especially as this will be short term. This commode is built very sturdy and will last a long time . You can put it over your commode or put the pan on it and use it for bedside use . The only problem I have with it is the seat is to small . Everyone we have had has the same problem . The hole in the seat is made for a child . My wife called the manufactory and this is the only seat that they offer . If you are 150 pounds it will be perfect ., but for a 180 pound person ,you will have a problem . Other than this it is an excellent product .When I left the hospital, a Lumex Silver Collection Steel Drop Arm 3-in-1 was the chair they gave me.When I needed another one for a different bathroom, I decided to save a few bucks and get a different brand. What a mistake!Stability is of utmost importance in these seats. You need to get on and get off with no chair wobble. The cheaper brand wobbled and after a look at its construction, I could tell why: these chairs need stiffening rods on all four sides. If you look at the product picture, Lumex has two at the top right under front of seat and one in back of seat.It also has two on the sides lower down. This four rod construction is essential, in my opinion. Other companies cut corner by doing away with one set of rods. I can almost guarantee you that this will make your chair sway and wobble.Lumex is an excellent brand, often not easy to find in stores because they are priced higher than competitors. If you can, pay the few extra dollars and get the Lumex.Lumex also has what I consider a near-essential feature. The arms are padded with soft rubber. The cheaper brands use hard plastic. You are going to be lifting your entire body weight by grabbing those arms, and you will instantly appreciate a soft grip.As I said, in my opinion, Lumex is the one. I just checked the manufacturer of my cane, etc. and they are not Lumex. I wish they were and when it comes time to replace, I will switch to Lumex.I am not in the pay of Lumex (or anybody else) and I got nothing, not even a coupon, to write this. I wouldn't have accepted it if they had offered. We do not use as bedside but it works great over an existing bathroom fixture.Foam covers on handles are tearing apart after a couple weeks use. And the seat is bad to pinch the backs of my mom's thighs when she sits on it.The handle came off the bucket after three times of emptying it.However, it's made well enough to not too over as she transfers from the wheelchair or bed to this seat. All in all, it is okay for a while until we can afford something better.I bought this commode for my friend. This commode is sturdy, as my friend is 15yrs post stroke.Love that both arms can drop down. Makes transfers easier. And is accomodating for larger size people. This is a great product for the price. This product can somewhat damaged and was configure differently than the picture online. When I tried to talk with then about it they denied they sold it to me among other things. You should purchase elsewhere.
