This is my second pair of this model. I worked my first pair 12 months. The soles, laces, eyelets did not fail or separate at any point. I work kneeling on my knees on roofs a lot and the leather covering the safety toe wore through after about 10 months exposing the metal underneath, and of course would allow water into the toe box in wet conditions. These are the most comfortable well fitting work boots. They breath exceptionally well in hot humid conditions. I wear wool socks with them and my feet come out dry even after 10 hours working outside in the Southeast during the summer. Before the toe box was worn through I never had water infiltrate into the boot and worked many days in standing water and mud on construction sites. The traction of the soles on sloping metal roof decks is ridiculously good. Dry, wet, hot or cold, my footing is very solid and dependable with these boots. I do not think there is a better performing boot for the money and I wouldn't change anything about their design.
