This is my 2nd Pair, i generally go threw a pair of work boot every 6 months and aren't that comfortable. These are comfortable and the last pair lasted me 18 months. These really are great work shoes! I ordered my normal size 12, and they fit exactly like they should. I'm actually working a different job now than when I bought them, and I'm still very happy with them. They're comfortable, durable, comfortable, look nice, and did I mention comfortable? I did change the insoles in them, but I do with all shoes because I have flat feet. I'm an installation technician, and I wear these year-round, inside and out, on all kinds of surfaces, up and down ladders and stairs for 8-12 hour days, and am very happy with them. They're still work shoes, so I'm happy to take them off at the end of a long work day, but that's once the day is done and I'm relaxing. I've never felt like I couldn't wait to get out of them in the middle of a work day. Plus, almost 2 years later they still look good enough that I wear them to church occasionally because they look great with khakis. They even still have the original laces in them, and honestly still only look like they've been work for a couple of weeks. These really are probably the best work shoes I've ever owned. My one suggestion is to think hard before you purchase a shoe with toe protectors. I bought these when I was working in an auto repair education center, and wanted the composite toe in case some bonehead dropped something...er, rather when it happens, not if. Now that I'm working as an installation tech, I really don't need the toe protection. Since I spend a lot of my day squatting or on my knees running cabling, the composite toe gets a bit uncomfortable when my toes are bent backwards in those positions for a long time. If I'd known about the job change, I just would have not gotten the composite toe. That's not a flaw of the shoe though; they just were designed with protection as a higher priority than squatting comfort. They're still the best work shoes I've ever had though, and I don't regret them at all. Most work shoes I've had don't even make it a year before basically falling apart in some way.A few months in and I don't see a single sign of these wearing out like I do on other shoes.Everything about them is better. Quality materials.I expect these to last well over a year if not much more. This thorogood shoe (804-4035) has proven itself. So far , 3 years heavy construction job sites in all weather conditions in Northern California. Super comfortable, durable work shoe. Great on wet surfaces. I’m a size 11m and the 11m fits perfect , even room for thick socks in the winter. I’m retiring this pair (See photo) and have purchased a new pair. Looking forward to another 3 years of comfort and durability. These are excellent work shoes; the best I have ever used. This is my third pair and I will keep buying them as long as they keep making them!2nd pair. Will get 3rd about 2 tiers from now with daily wear.Like- it is a great looking shoeDislike- made in China. My last pair of Thorogood was made in the USA. I didn’t make sure this time. The shoe was comfortable but ran too wide for my feet that my heel keep coming out and I had thick socks on. I guess they are build that way and I’m a flat footed person. The best work shoes I have ever also very comfortable and not heavy!
