By far the best safety boots I have ever owned - though normally I buy cheaper ones...Previous boots (costing between £15 and £50) have always been for strangely shaped feet and just plain uncomfortable. These were a bit big (I take a 9.5 shoe...) but an insole cured that. Then the ideal shape and soft leather came into their own. The ankle protection has already proved its worth (and is also comfy - I don't see how they manage that...). I have even started using them for walking the dog - they are just as comfortable as my hiking boots... though I would say they are going to be a bit too heavy to use on an actual hike...Are they worth the money??? - up to you. They are certainly good and well designed / made.Update February 2024: Excellent comfy boots, but...1. Tread pattern on the sole is NOT suitable for english mud. The gaps between tread blocks are very narrow clog up instantly and are very difficult to clear. It is like trying to walk and work in ice scates. Very silly major flaw.2. And another thing... On an expensive high ankle boot, why no "finger loop" at the heel to help you pull them on?
